Kid's Quest Nursery Rotation
The Kid’s Quest Nursery Team endeavors to provide a safe Christ-like environment for nursery age children to help them connect with God and Jesus through loving people and enjoyable activities.
We hope you know that as a Kid's Quest Nursery Rotation Volunteer, you play an essential part in enabling our Nursery parents to participate in the church service by providing a safe, loving environment for their children. Nursery Rotation FAQ:
Why am I on the Nursery Rotation?
-
At Tysons Campus Kid’s Quest, we serve about 1600 children every weekend. As you can imagine, it takes hundreds of volunteers to accomplish this. While the Lord has provided faithfully for our ministry, our area of greatest strain occurs in the nursery classrooms, where we have the highest number of children checking in weekly, and conversely the lowest number of regular volunteers.
-
In order to continue to provide nursery programming, we have asked that parents whose children attend Kid’s Quest and who are not already regular volunteers with Kid’s Quest or Access ministries be willing to serve in the nursery on a rotating basis at the service time of their choosing.

How often will I be serving on the Nursery Rotation?
- The Nursery Rotation typically runs on an eight week schedule so you should expect to serve one weekend every eight weeks.
Why do I have to consent to a background check?
-
Because of our belief that all children under our care need to be protected to the fullest possible degree as well as to comply with precautions mandated by our insurance company, we now require all parents on the nursery rotation to consent to a background check.

I am having trouble submitting my background check consent, help!
-
You will need your McLean Log-In and Password to complete the online form. If you do not already have an online profile created, you may need to create one before completing the online form. One consent form is needed for each parent serving on the rotation. Each parent will need to create their own account to submit a background check.
-
If you have forgotten your User ID or Password click on the ‘Account Help’ button to have your User ID or Password emailed to you.

Still having trouble? Please contact Caitlin Davis at caitlin.davis@mcleanbible.org or 703-770-3831.
I don't feel comfortable with the church having access to my social security number.
- When you submit your background check consent form online, your Social Security Number is encrypted and sent directly to the company that performs our background checks, Secure Search. At no point is MBC ever able to see your SSN and it is not stored in our database.
