PrimeTime Community
Connecting with other followers of Christ is an essential part of your spiritual journey. There is no such thing as a fully devoted follower of Christ who lives in isolation. At MBC, we offer community groups for people who are looking for a mid-sized group that meets at the church. People who attend community groups experience biblical community by making new friends, serving together, and praying for each other while growing deeper in their relationship with Jesus Christ. We meet every Sunday from 10:45 to 12:00 in Room 3400 North
PrimeTime is a community of mature adults (age 55+) who meet for fellowship and Bible study led by MBC instructors. Our activities are designed to help the members of PrimeTime to become fully devoted followers of Christ who make an impact on their families, friends, neighborhoods and workplaces. Surveys have shown that over 80% of the PrimeTimers are serving as volunteers in support of our many MBC ministries. PrimeTime sponsors health care events to assist its members, hosts periodic Saturday afternoon matinee movies followed by dinner at the MBC Café on Saturdays, has arranged day trip outings, and supports the activities of the Senior Adult Ministry, such as the Quarterly Potluck Luncheons , the Annual Retreat, Musical Moments at McLean and the Christmas musical.
We also encourage seniors to connect in biblical community through a small group. Small Groups consist of 6 to 12 people who have the common goal of becoming fully devoted followers of Christ. Small Group life incorporates relationship building, Bible study, prayer and serving opportunities. Most groups for senior adults meet weekly at MBC or in homes throughout the DC metro area. Visit the Connect Room (Room 1605) after any Saturday evening or Sunday morning service to get involved in a small group.
