Global Impact (short-term missions)

Welcome to Global Impact, MBC Tysons' Short Term Missions Ministry.

Christ gave His disciples the charge of this Great Commission to bring the gospel to the far ends of the earth. As you grow in your relationship with Christ, our desire is that you would take a step of faith and participate on a short-term mission trip to expand your worldview, experience the global body of Christ and to be open to what the Lord is calling you to do.

We believe that every follower of Christ must wrestle with their role in fulfilling the Great Commission. Matthew 28:18-20 says, "Then Jesus came to them and said, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.'"

Matthew 9:37-38 "Then he said to his disciples, 'The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.'" Is He asking you to go?

How Long is a Global Impact Trip?
Our short-term mission trips typically last from 10 days to 2 weeks.

What Happens on a Trip?
Our short-term international trip process starts about 4-5 months before the actual departure date. During this time, you get to know your teammates, spend time in God's Word and prepare for the mission ahead. Each trip varies in the specific 'mission'. But no matter the type of trip, God will use it to grow you into a more fully devoted follower of Christ.
